"That damn Wishing Star...I can't believe she made us do all this stuff..."Allen groaned.

"It was a little overboard,but it's over now,right?"Lenalee smiled.

"I guess...we better sleep early before Komui calls.I don't wanna die so early."Allen laughed nervously.

"I'll tell him we got caught up in a snowstorm.He'll understand."

"As long as you tell him.He won't believe me."

"So...you'll sleep on the bed?"

"No.We should sleep on the bed.There's enough space for two.Besides,Wishing Star might just show up again."

"Good point."

Allen and Lenalee left their suitcases at a side and went to bed.Just as Allen was dreaming about dangos,Lenalee shook him awake.

"Huh?Wha...Lenalee?What is it?"Allen stuttered,rubbing his eyes.

"I can't sleep."Lenalee whispered,tugging at his sleeves.

"Um...all right.Sit down.I'll talk to you,but only for a bit."

"Okay."Lenalee smiled."So...about the notes on the piano,how did you come to know about it?"

"Mana taught me how to read the notes."Allen said,looking up to stop his tears."I didn't know what it meant,but I always remembered.Always...."

"Mana?"

"He's my foster father."Allen smiled,his tears almost overflowed."We were not related by blood,but I loved him more than my birth parents."

So that's why you fight for the akuma so much."Lenalee said."Because you wanted Mana to be proud of you."

"He's always been proud of me."Allen paused."Maybe he's in heaven looking at me with eyes that says,'That's my son,and I'm proud of him.'"

"He is."Lenalee smiled."If you look into your heart."

"I believe you."

Author's Appearance:First Night

"Man...if it keeps snowing like this,we'll never get back home and report in time..."Allen groaned.

"Cheer up."Lenalee smiled."It's not like it won't stop."

"Yeah but..."Allen stammered."What if Komui misunderstood and....HE'LL MURDER ME!"

"He won't.He'll understand."

"I hope so..."Allen said."Anyway,we'll have to stay for the night.It's getting late."

"I guess."

Allen and Lenalee trudged in the thick snow.I followed.DUH.

"Hey!"I waved.They turned around and gaped.

"WHAT are YOU DoINg HERe?"

"Um...HELLO?!I am the AUTHOR!I can make appearances whenever and WHEREVER I LIKE."

"Those shades are not your color..."

"Um...these?No...I borrowed them from Tyki."

"SAY WHAT?!"

"Yup!Or should I say I stole it..."

"WHAT???"

"Sheeesh...don't get so worked up.Or I'll make you do with Lenalee..."

"Do WHAT?"

"Awww...Allen's acting innocent."I grinned."If you get her pregnant,you're dead."

"Um.....how excatly are you gonna do that?"

"I have a pencil,you coconut head!"I said."It makes wonders."

"Prove it."

"Okay."I pulled out my pencil and paper and scribbled out some words.

Allen kisses Lenalee.

It happens.

Allen was kissing Lenalee.

"Don't make me erase the 'kissing and turn it into 'rape'."

"All right!!!!"Allen screamed."Help us find a room!"

"Done."I snapped my fingers."You'll be staying at the inn nearest to the harbor.There will be only one room left,but I made reservations."

"Okay..."

"But..."I started saying.

"Not the 'but'...."

"Only one bed.No arguments?"

"WHAAATTT???"

"Allen?"I said."Again?"

"I got the hell enough of it!"

"Shall I put in the rape word for you,my dear?"

"All right...We'll share a bed..."

"Good!"I'll see you sometime soon..."I snapped my fingers and disappeared.

"Not so soon..."He barely whispered.

"What was that?"My head popped out on Allen.

"GAH!!!N...nothing..."

"All right.But I'm sure I heard something...Anyway,good luck!"I disappeared again.

"Come on Lenalee.Let's go."

"W-wait!"

First Night

"Why do you want me to stay here?"Allen asked.

"I don't want to be alone."

"Yeah but...can't this wait?We could always talk by morning."

"I can't go back to sleep."She whispered,her voice thinner than a piece of string.

"Why?Is it that nightmare again?"Allen asked worriedly.

Lenalee nodded.She clenched her fists as she described her dream.

"I couldn't use my inoocence anymore."Lenalee whispered as she clenched her fists further with tears welling up in her eyes."I saw your innocence destroyed and..."

"I was killed?"Allen said for Lenalee.

"By the Earl."

"That's not really possible,right?"Allen said."Helvaska predicted I was going to defeat the Earl.Even I made preparations for that to happen anytime.You should,too."

"But..."Lenalee

"It's all right."Allen said."You were always the one who takes a death the most seriously.But...I know you could protect yourself.You're still strong,right?Your innocence evolved into a new type.You should be very well aware of that."

"I do..."Lenalee said with tears flowing freely down her face."You always seemed to be stronger than me.I...didn't realise I was this weak...until you came back to me."

"Everyone realises what their weaknesses is.What we should do is to face them,overcome them and believe in yourself more."Allen smiled while drying her tears.

"Yeah,but...now I'm not even sure.I always feel I believe in you more than myself."

"Thank you,but you should fend for yourself,too."Allen whispered,still smiling."You still have a brother to protect."

"True."Lenalee smiled back."It's about my turn to protect him,too."

"I believe you can do that."Allen smiled.

"You're right."Lenalee felt her eyelids getting heavier."Let me rest for a bit,Allen-kun..."

"All right."Allen pulled her towards his shoulders."Rest well.We'll be returning home tomorrow."

"Allen-kun..."

"Yes?"

"When the war is over,can we start over?"

Allen didn't say anything.He smiled.When Lenalee fell asleep,He let his head rest on Lenalee's.Letting a faint smile slowly crawl onto his face,he said,"Of course.Anchor that belief and it'll certainly come true.Someday."

A few finders happened to pass by and giggled softly.They got the the two of them a blanket and laid it on them.The night passed quickly and when a finder told them about what happened last night,Allen almost threw out what he had in his mouth.Lenalee cleared her throat.

"May I have your attention?We would like to announce something."

Allen swallowed his food and had a sick expression on his face,"Don't tell Komui-san."

A Promise Made

I was in a battlefield.The Earl invaded our home.Everyone was trying so hard to fight.So much bloodshed,screams and sorrows.I saw Allen-kun,drenched in crimson blood.Yet his body was pushed past his limits. Every time he was attacked,he pushed himself further,not caring about the consequences.

"Allen-kun!!"I shouted.

I must help him.I con't care if I die!

"Innocence!Activate!"

My blood red anklets won't activate.

"Come on!Activate!!"

It didn't respond.Instead,it turned into ashes and disappeared.I clenched my fists.I was no longer an Exorcist.I saw Allen as he was flung onto a wall and fell.

"Allen-kun!!"I shouted and ran to him.

He smiled and caressed my cheeks with his normal hand.I cried,holding it so tight I wasn't able to let go.

"I'm sorry..."Allen barely whispered as a tear rolled down his blood-stained cheeks."I...."

His eyes closed and his hand slipped out of my hands and watched him turn into dust.

"ALLEN!!!!!"

"Lenalee?Lenalee!Wake up!"

"Lenalee!Are you all right?You were screaming in your sleep.What happened?"Asked a worried Allen.

"Yes...it was just a dream...oh!By the way,why are you here?"

"You were screaming,so I though something happened."Allen said while pouring some water into her glass."Here."

"Thanks."Lenalee smiled as she took the glass.

"You know,I was pretty worried about you.You must have a bad fright."

"I..."Lenalee tightened her grasps on the glass."I don't know what I should do..."

"Do what?"

"I felt like I was seeing the future.You...died..."Lenalee closed her eyes and gripped the glass even further that it shattered.

"Careful,Lenalee!You shouldn't hold it so tightly."Allen removed the glass pieces from her hand carefully."Hold on.I'll get you a towel."

"Allen-kun..."Lenalee muttered as Allen wring the towel from a tub of water.

"This will hurt a little,so please bear with it."Allen said as he cleaned Lenalee's wound.She winced a little.

"Can't you be a little more gentler?"

"Bear with it.It's almost done."Allen said."You really shouldn't worry about me,Lenalee.The future would have to wait.The most important moment is the present."

"I know...but..."

"It'll be fine."Allen smiled."Where's the bandage?"

"It's in the cabinet on your right.The scissors,too."

Allen wrapped the bandage around her hand and cut it when he's done.

"We'll be home tomorrow,so you don't need to worry so much,all right?"

Lenalee nodded.

"I see you tomorrow,then."

"Wait!"

"Do you need anything?"

"Could you....stay for a while?"

"Shouldn't you be sleeping now?"

"I can't sleep.I'm afraid the dream would come back."

"All right.I'll stay for a bit.But promise me you'll go back to sleep."

"I promise."Lenalee smiled.

When I'm With You

The both of them were very quiet.Too quiet,in fact.The only sound that could be heard was the lapping of the waves and the soft flutter of Tim's wings.

"I noticed you were late,Allen-kun."Lenalee broke the silence with her gentle,yet fragile voice."You were never late before.Is something wrong?"

"No..."Allen looked away."It's just that...I don't feel well."Allen said.

Lenalee held back her tears while she stood up.

"Why can't you tell me anything?!I'm your friend.That's what friends do!"She shouted at Allen,tears flowing freely as she broke down and sobbed.

"Lenalee...I-"Allen reached out a hand to wipe her tears when she pushed his hand away.

"Don't touch me!"Lenalee ran for the door when she felt an arm stopping her from going.

"Let me go,Allen-kun."Lenalee's lips quivered.

"Please...hear me out.I didn't mean to hurt you."

"Now you did."

"I'm sorry."Allen said,letting her hand go.He buried his head in his knees."I've just been thinking too much.Everything just goes too fast."

Lenalee sat down beside him,overcame by worry more than anger.

"Thinking about the Fourteenth again?"

Allen nodded.

"I see that figure behind my reflection,then everything came back to me.My past And what the future holds."

Lenalee put a hand on his shoulder.Allen looked up,his grey orbs overflowing with emotions.

"You know,every time I think that way,I was afraid I'd kill you first."Allen smiled slowly.

"Why?"

"Because you are themost important person of my life."

Lenalee smiled.

"That means a lot to me.Thank you,Allen-kun."

"No,I should be thanking you,Lenalee."Allen gave her a faint smile."You made you realise something."

"What is it?"

"You know,I used to think fighting akuma was the purpose God even let me exist in this world.They were all that mattered to me.I used to think it was to make it up for Mana because I was foolish enough to trust the Earl.But I almost got lost on the way..."Allen paused,looking up at the dusty ceiling."Then I met you and the others at the Order.I realized that I was fighting for something else.But above all the people I know,you are the only one next to Mana in my heart."

"That goes for you,too."Lenalee said,sliding closer to him.

"Huh?"Allen's head snaps to face Lenalee.His sudden action made her jolt a little.

"You take up more space in my heart than anyone besides my brother.And I believe you could overtake Nii-san's place."

"Y-yeah....I guess so..."Allen blushed."I just hope he doesn't kill me,then."

"If he does,I'll send him flying with Dark Boots."Lenalee wrapped her arms around Allen's neck."Don't worry so much Allen-kun.I'm sure it'll be fine."

"Yeah,I hope so!"Allen laughed,putting his hands on her hips.

"Do you feel better?"

"With you,I'll always be happy."Allen smiled and gave her a peck on her lips.

"What about our sorrows?"Lenalee asked,blushing.

"Washed from our memories,"Allen Gave Lenalee a hug."forever."

Reflection

Allen and Lenalee managed to kill all the akumas by dusk,but almost all the finders were sacrificed.Most of them said they had to protect the Excorcists because it's their part of preventing the prophecy of the Earl's victory from happening.Even if it's only a little they can do,they are willing to support them in anyway they can.While the finders mourned for their dead comrades,Lenalee went over to them.

"I'm sorry we couldn't protect your comrades."

"No,Lenalee.You've done more than enough."

"But...-"

"They died for a cause..."the finder looked away,unable to speak anymore.

Lenalee understood.After putting a hand on his shoulder,she got up and left.She felt guilty and responsible for being the cause of the other finder's lives they hadn't saved.She wanted to confide in Allen so she decided to look up for him during supper,but he was late by almost an hour.Allen ordered twice as much as usual and kept quiet all the time.He looked away from Lenalee and got up as soon as he finished.Lenalee decided to follow him and ask him what's wrong.

Allen was feeling as bad as Lenalee was:He felt bad to be the cause for everything that happened.He became an Excorcist to save lives,but he ended up taking more lives than saving them.He saw more bloodshed,sorrow,and misery.People existed in a world they didn't know about.As he walked past a mirror,he could see himself - a white-haired fifteen year-old with storm gray eyes filled with emotions and seen what ordinary fifteen year-olds hadn't seen nor expirenced.The hatred he felt when he was abandoned by his blood parents,the joy of being with Mana,the sorrow when Mana died,the happiness he felt when he was at the Order,the pain whenever he saw Lenalee's tears.The scar that ran down from his left eye to his cheeks was embedded with memories of Mana,probably the Fourteenth.Dressed in his usual white shirt and grey vest,he looked into the figure that scares him everytime he looked into his reflection.Someday,he was told,that he would betray the Order.He would kill all the people he loved.He would become a monster that knows nothing of friendship,and would forget all that he experienced.He would not let himself betray Lenalee.Allen often told himelf.He'll not let that happen,ever.

Allen walks on,still thinking about Mana's connection with the Fouteenth.How the Fourteeth's death was related to Mana's.Of all the people in the world,why must the Fourteeth choose him as his host?He took off his glove and glaced at his left hand before opening the door.Maybe the innocence is supressing the Fourteeth from emerging.Or his will to protect.But he didn't want to think.He looked out of the window and gazed at the stars outside,pointing out constellations Mana had taught him.For once,he wished he could be normal,but his left hand changed everything.He was an Excorcist.That's all that matters now.He didn't care if it didn't last for long,but as long as he woke up to be able to see Lenalee,that would be the best thing that could happen to him.

Wait...the last part didn't sound right...he shook that thought out of his head and slumped onto an armchair beside the window.He kept gazing at the stars,trying to forget everything but he couldn't.Tim made a nest on his head and grinned.Allen smiled slightly.At least being with Timcanpy was better than being with only the walls and furniture inside the room.His eyes reflected the light of the full moon above him as he sighed.Just then,he heard a knock on the door.

Allen got up,moving towards the door with heavy steps.He opened the door and saw the person he wanted to confide in,but was at the moment,seperated by only the locked door.(so close yet so far....)His eyes softened and he let her in.

A/N: I'm sorry for the abrupt ending,but I have to rush my homework.(there's a mountain of it - literally.)I think by the time now,you should know who Allen let in,right?If you don't,you're not paying enough attention.So anyway,I should be posting the next chapter soon.Hopefully by next week.I'm considering to add some author appearances every now and then for a generous pinch of humor.If you have any feedbacks,you could comment on this particular chapter.Ideas are welcomed with open arms.

Thoughts of the Heart

At breakfast,they pretended that NOTHING had happened last night,though stealing occasional glances still happened.

When the two Excorcists finished their meal,a finder called Allen to pick up a call from the Headquaters.

"Coming!"Allen called with his mouth filled with food.

Allen knew better than to tell Komui what had happened between Lenalee and himself.He gulped before picking up the phone.

"Hi,Allen!How'd the mission go?"Came Komui's usual comical voice.

"Not very well."Allen sighed as he stole a glance at Lenalee who was chatting with one of the finders."We lost a host.Lenalee was very upset about it.I wasn't able to protect her.I'm sorry."

"How's Lenalee feeling now?"Komui asked,concerned.

"She got over the incident."

"All the more you should.As long as the two of you are fine,I'm happy enough."

"But...-"

"You were able to protect Lenalee,and that means a lot to me.But..."Komui's voice changed into the one Allen was afraid of most."Did you touch my Lenalee?!"

"Eh?!O-of course not,Komui-san!"

"Good."Komui's voice changed back to normal."I'll see you at the Headquaters,then!"

"Hm."Allen nodded and hung up the phone before he leaned against the wall and sighed.Lenalee came over to him with a bright smile on her face.

"Was that my brother just now?"

"Huh?Uh...y-yes..."Allen stammered as he felt his cheeks burning.

"Did you tell him anything,then?"

"No."

"Good!I don't want you to be shot by Nii-san's bazooka,you know."She gave a wave before she left Allen to himself."I'll see later,then!"

"Okay."Allen nodded.He retreated to his room and thought about a few things.

Do I like Lenalee?Allen thought as a grinning Timcanpy landed on his shoulder.Allen continued thinking without paying attention to Tim.Something tells him that deep down inside,he didn't just like Lenalee.He loved her.But on the other hand.Lenalee is just another friend,part of his family.

"Arrgh!This is so frustrating!Do I like her or not?"Allen scratched his head,then he noticed Timcanpy on his shoulder.He let Tim perch on his finger.

"What do you think,Tim?"Allen sighed,looking at the golden golem.

Without hestitation,it bit Allen's finger as hard as it could.

"Ow!That hurts,Timcanpy!"Allen grimaced and quickly shook it off his wounded finger.

Timcanpy pointed at Allen's chest,as if it was answering Allen.

"So,you think I should listen to what my heart says?"Allen asked the golem.

Timcanpy nodded.

"Still,you don't have to bite me!"Allen pouted.Tim just showed his sharp teeth at Allen,as if it was threatening to bite Allen again.

"All right!I get it!I'm sorry!"

My heart...Allen thought as he laid on his bed.lies all the answers.I wonder if it could tell me more about the 14th.

Suddenly a shout snapped Allen out of his thoughts,sending him rolling down his bed and he landed with a loud thump.He felt pain,but had no time to bother it.He had to find out what was happening outside!

Allen ran to the deck of the ship,Lenalee was already there.

"Lenalee what happ- what the..."Allen looked up and saw hordes of akuma trying to destroy the ship.

"Allen,We're being attacked!We have to protect everyone,before it's too late!"

Allen nooded.The two Excorcist invoked their innocence and fought to protect the ship.

Secrets And Confessions

Lenalee woke up,only to find it was all just a dream.She sat up,still petrified from the nightmare.She knew no matter how she tried,she wouldn't be able to go back to sleep.Even if she did,the nightmare would still come back.

Might as well go out and get some fresh air.She thought as she put on her usual black cloack and lighted an oil lantern.When she passed by Allen's room,she decided to check on him.When she knocked,she realised the door was not locked.When she peered inside,she didn't see Allen on the bed.She suddenly remembered her dream and started panicking.She ran to the kitchen.Anyone would know that's one of the places to find if you're looking for Allen.When she saw him,she felt a huge sense of relief.Allen saw Lenalee's reflection on the glass window,and turned around.Lenalee saw that Allen was covering up his left eye,just like he did the last time she saw Allen before he disappeared.

"Allen-kun...is...your eye all right?"Lenalee started.

"I'm fine.Please...go back to sleep."Allen smiled nervously.

"Can you let me see your eye?"

"It's fine,really."

Allen started stepping away from the light.To Lenalee,it seemed as if he was disappearing,being swallowed up by the shadows,just like what was in her dream.

"Wait!"Lenalee took his hand,tears she held back before now flowed down her beautiful face.

Allen's eyes widened.He didn't like to see Lenalee cry.He hated her tears.It made him feel so helpless.He knew no matter how hard he tried,he won't be able to stop those tears.

"I'm sorry,Lenalee.Did you have the nightmare again?"

Lenalee pulled herself towards Allen and buried her face in his chest,tears staining his uniform.

"L...Lenalee...?"

"I'm sorry,Allen-kun."

"If you don't mind,can you tell me your dream?"Allen whispered as he hugged her back.

"It's the same as before.Everytime I saw Nii-san or the others,I would cry inside my dream,but whenever I saw you,I would scream out your name and wake up.This time,I saw you turn into sand and blown away by the wind.It was really realistic and scary,almost as if it was the future."

"But it's over now,right?"Allen said as he stroked her hair."It's fine...I'm here..."

"I'm really sorry."

"You know something?"

"What is it?"

"Everytime you cry,it makes me feel helpless.Because all I could do is to console you like this."

"But you made me feel better."Lenalee opened her eyes before closing them again."If you don't mind,can we...stay like this for a moment longer?"

"O...okay..."Allen stammered.

Allen could hear her heart slow down a little.He assumed she fell asleep.He had often wondered why God let a girl as nice as Lenalee be involved in this cruel war.He felt she deserves a better childhood than this.He carried her to the nearest chair and sat her down.He took off his own uniforn and laid it over her.When he settled down beside Lenalee,he could hear her whispering his name.

It must be that nightmare again.Allen thought.When he saw her eyes squeezed shut,calling his name,he pulled her closer to himself,desperately hoping it would help.When Lenalee woke up,she found herself closer to Allen than ever.

"That nightmare..."whispered Lenalee so softly that Allen could barely hear."it turned into a dream with only you and me together."Closing her eyes again,she whispered loud enough for Allen to hear."Thank you,Allen-kun."

Allen smiled.Pulling her closer to him,he whispered back.

"You're welcome,Lenalee."Before he drifted to his own world of dreams,he said the three words he thought he would never get to say to Lenalee."I love you."

Lenalee smiled secretly.She had heard those words she'd been longing to hear from him.When she heard nothing but a gentle snore,she leaned closer and whispered back.

"I love you,too."

Allen and Lenalee spent the rest of the night together like this until it was almost morning.If any of the Finders knew of what they did and decides to report it to Komui,Allen would either be skinned alive,drilled,shot by his mega bazooka or be at mercy of one of his crazy inventions.Let's just say it's their little secret.

[A/N:Those reading this DO NOT tell komui or I'm using my puppy dog eyes(my signature weapon) to convince Kanda to slice ya!!No seriously.It works.]

Tragedy And Nightmares

When Kira woke up,she found herself in her own room.Her sight was still fuzzy,but she could hear the raindrops beating softly against the windows.Kira's brother was the first to go in,as expected by Kira.

"KIRAAAA!!!I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE FINE!!!"

"Nii-san!"Kira ran up to her brother and hugged him tightly."I'm sorry.I wasn't able to protect everyone.I didn't live up to my promise."

"It's all right now.You're back safely,that's all that matters now."

Outside,A Finder was waiting.

"Where's the new Excorcist?"

Allen shook his head sadly.Lenalee buried her face in her hands,blaming herself for leaving Kira behind.When Allen sat down beside her and put a hand on her shoulder,she cried even harder.

On a ship the Finder came in Allen was frustrated.He stood outside the door of Lenalee's room.He thought for a long time before deciding to knock.

"Come in."

Allen entered and found Lenalee sitting on her bed,still mulling over what had happened.She definitely wasn't her cheerful self.Allen tried to cheer her up,but she always forced a smile and said she was all right.Allen knew she wasn't,so he told her it wasn't her fault that it all happened.

"I feel I'm responsible for all this.I was the one who left her behind."

"But you didn't know what was going to happen.It's not your fault."

"I feel that it is."Lenalee turned away.

"If...you need me,I'll always be here for you."Allen said with emotions swirling in his eyes.

"Thanks,Allen-kun."Lenalee smiled faintly.

Allen walked out of her room,yet he still wasn't so sure if Lenalee's all right.He went back to his own room,but stayed awake just in case Lenalee needed him for something.He suddenly felt hungry,so he walked towards the kitchen to grab a snack.Suddenly,he felt his eye sting.Covering in eye with his left hand,he walked quickly into the kitchen in case anyone had seen him.All the Finders were asleep in their rooms.Yet he still felt that he should cover it.He looked out of the window,watching the waves lap over one another peacefully.He was not aware that Lenalee was tossing around in her bed,sweating furiously,calling out the name she loved.

The Innocence: Destroyed

The two Excorcists were beat by the time they reached the exit.They still had to wait for a Finder to arrive in Japan,which would take at least a few hours.While waiting,they had to fend off akumas trying to get the innocence.However,they did not notice the sinister figure of their Nemesis hiding behind the shadows watching them with a purple butterfly engulfed in an evil aura perched on his left hand.

Allen was having much difficulty with seven level 3s.Everytime he attemped to attack one of them,another would counter-attack from behind.Lenalee,who was protecting Kira,couldn't watch Allen being thrashed arond anyone.She wanted so much to help,but she could leave Kira behind.Kira seemed to have noticed Lenalee's flustered expression.She felt bad for being such a burden to them and decided to let Lenalee go.

"I think you should help Allen."Kira whispered without facing Lenalee.

"I wanted to,but..."She looked at Allen who was already hurt badly."I couldn't just leave you behind."

"I don't want to be a burden to you."She said as a tear rolled down her cheek."I wanted so much to help,but I can't."

Lenalee bit her lips.She still couldn't decide which to choose.Kira or Allen.

"Please,I don't want all this to happen because of me.You're the only one who could help Allen now!"

"All right.Promise me you'll be fine."

"I promise.Thank you Lenalee."

"I should be thanking you Kira."Lenalee smiled.

Lenalee stood up and invoked her innocence.She leapt in front of the level 3 who was attacking Allen.

"How dare you hurt my comrade!"

The akuma smirked."So you finally decided to join in the fun,eh?"

While the two Excorcists were busy fighting,the figure from the shadows stepped towards Kira.A few more butterflies engulfed in the same evil aura as the one on his finger.

"Who are you?"Kira asked,suddenly feeling sick in the stomach.

"I came to take your innocence."He said.

"I asked,WHO ARE YOU?!"

"How rude of me not to introduce myself."The figure said in a gentlemanly yet a hint of menance in his tone."My name is Tyki.I'm the 'Pleasure' of the Ancient Family."

"T-the Ancient Family...?"

"Speak no more,girl.Give me your innocence!"

"Why should I?It's the strength God gave me to protect everyone.A weapon that purifies and saves!"

"Well spoken,young lady.But not enough to convince me NOT to take your innocence."Tyki laughed sinisterly.

"I'm not handing it over,Tyki."Kira growled through her gritted teeth.

Tyki grabbed her neck and threatened her in his most menacing voice.

"I repeat myself one last time.Give. Me. Your. INNOCENCE!"

"N...no..."Kira struggled to break free,but her conciousness was slipping away.

Tyki snatched the glowing necklace from Kira.

"This is your innocence,I presume?"Tyki taunted.

"Stop it."Kira whispered.She was weak and could hardly move.

"You will NOT become an Excorcist."Tyki smirked.

"Stop it."Kira's voice became louder.

"Say good bye to your innocence."Tyki laughed errily and crushed it.The innocence residing inside the necklace piece reduced to dust and disappeared.Kira's eyes widened and squeezed it shut again.

"STOP IT!!!!!!!"Kira screamed.Allen and Lenalee heard Kira's screams and ran towards where they last left Kira.They stopped almost instantly when they saw Tyki.

"TYKI?!"Allen gasped."But...didn't I kill the Noah in you?Why are you still...one of them?!"

"The Noah in me didn't die."Tyki stuck his tounge out."On the contrary,it survived.I don't know how,but it did."He turned to the akumas."You there!We have no busniness here anymore.Let's go."

"Roger."The akumas nodded and retreated.

Suddenly,the sky turned dark.Soon,it began raining.Kira cried and shivered from the cold.

"Why...I wanted so so much to become an Excorcist...why did it end like this?"She whispered.

"I'm sorry,Kira.We weren't able to protect you."Lenalee put her hand on her shoulders.

"I-"Kira felt dizzy again.She fell onto the wet grass,unconcious.She could still hear Allen and Lenalee calling her,it got softer and softer until it eventually disappeared.

Danger Lurks Across Edo

Allen and Lenalee decided to bring Kira to the Asian Branch Order.It would take at least five days to get there.An ally is urgently needed and they can't risk anything at all.Along the way,Allen and Lenalee took turns to fight and protect Kira so she could not be hurt.

"Ugh..if we keep this up,we won't leave Japan in time!"Allen groaned.

"We will.We're already halfway across the shortcut."Kira said.

"Allen-kun,what's wrong?"Lenalee asked when Allen suddenly stopped in front of Kira.

"There are akumas in the area."Allen turned around.His left eye was activated,it was a sign that there are akumas nearby.

"Can you pinpoint the exact location?"Lenalee asked,holding Kira close to her.

"No,not really."Allen said."But I can tell you this: there are an army of them coming this way."

"What?!"Lenalee shierked."An army?!But...what about Kira?It would take the two of us to fend them off!"

"Don't worry.I'll manage."Allen smiled.

"But..."Lenalee held Allen's arm,refusing to let go."What about you...?"

"I'll be fine."Allen said.Turning towards the army of level two and three akumas charging towards us,led by Tyki.

"Why?Why must you always sacrifice yourself for others?You almost lost your life back in China when you disappeared on me!Did you have any idea how worried I was?!Did you spare a thought for my feelings?"Lenalee shouted at Allen with tears brimming her eyes.seeing this,his smile faded.

"I did."He looked at Lenalee with mixed colours of emotions in his eyes."That was why I wanted to train myself and return to you as quickly as possible.Every time I sleep,I saw your dreams.And one I didn't know about,was you drowning into the ocean's depths."

"That happened to me while I was on Miss Anita's ship.I almost drowned fighting a level three akuma."Lenalee said plainly.

"Oh.Anyway,I told myself that I had to return to you.You were my reason to fight,to survive,to protect."He said,looking into her eyes.

"I understand..."Lenalee whispered,finally letting go.

"Take care of Kira."Allen smiled before invoking his innocence.

"I will."Lenalee said.

Allen smiled before he invoked his innocence.

"Crown Clown,activate!"

One after another,Allen had to keep akumas away from Lenalee and Kira.However,due to exhaustion,he let one slip past him.By the time he realised it,it had already had a headstart to getting the innocence.

"Lenalee!"Allen shouted and charged towards them.

Dang it!It's too fast! Allen thought.Another akuma flew in front of Allen and said in a sinister voice,"What happened to our little game,boy?"

"I don't have to time to deal with you!"Allen shouted in its face.The akuma grinned.

"You want to end it,yes?I'll do that for you!"The akuma hit Allen and made him flinch.Meanwhile,the akuma was getting closer.Lenalee invoked her innocence and destroyed the akuma.She quickly went back to Kira and kept her innocence invoked,just in case any akuma tries to harm Kira or destroy her innocence.

It's going to be a long and difficult journey to the Asian Branch.

Leaving Home

Allen and Lenalee waited outside as Kira got ready to leave.Kira said she had to do something first before they leave.

"I have to go,Nii-san."Kira sobbed,holding on to her brother."I really have to go now."

"I know."Kira's brother held her tight."I know...take care of yourself Kira.I'll miss you."

"I will,too."Kira said,finally letting go."Goodbye,and take care of Grandpa."

"I will,Kira.Don't worry."

"It's time."Allen whispered to Kira.She gave a nod and left her brother behind.Kira kept looking at her brother waving goodbye.She kept looking until her home disappeared in the horizon.

"Master,you've heard that,yes?"A girl sitting on a floating umbrella.

"Of course,Road."A fat man sat on the end of the table said.

"Can I go,Master?"Rhode floated over and hugged the man."It's been a long time since I've had some fun."

"I'm sorry Rhode.You should stay here with Lero."The man said,his glasses reflected the dim candle lights."I'll get Tyki-pon to do this job."

"No fair!"Rhode pouted."Tyki always gets all the fun!"

"Now,now Rhode.Don't throw a tantrum.I'll get you some candies,all right?"

"Okay..."Rhode jumped down from Lero and left.

"We'll see who survives first.You pesky little rats,or...."The man stood up to reveal himself as the Earl."My little pets!"

The moment he said those words,the candlelights burned brighter and revealed an army of level two and three akumas who were hiding in the shadows before.

An eerie laughter ran through the halls as the hungry akumas got ready to leave.

A Potential Discovered

Allen's left eye suddenly activated.His left eye turned back with red rings as the pupils.A gear formed on the surface of his eye.

"Lenalee.Akumas are around this area."Allen said in a low tone.

"Can you tell where it is?"Lenalee asked.

"No.But I'll give you the signal if I see one."Allen said.

Both of them stayed close to each other to look for anyone suspicious.Then,Allen suddenly grabbed her hand and raced towards a cloaked man,walking to a girl who trembled in fear.The man reavealed itself as a level 2 akuma.Allen and Lenalee shielded the girl immediately.

"Innocence,invocation!"

The two Excorcists invoked their innocence.Allen as the Clown of God,the Crowned Clown,and Lenalee as the Crystal Butterfly,the Dark Boots.Lenalee took Allen's hand at charged towards it at the speed of sound and flew up,letting Allen's left arm,in the form of a deadly black claw when his innocence was invoked,to inflict damage on the opponent.Lenalee,currently airborne,charged down at a deadly speed and destroyed the akuma.It was a superb combination that no other Excorcist could ever hope to achieve.It was truly a sight to behold.

Allen and Lenalee stopped the attack...for now...

Allen and Lenalee turned around,to check if the girl was alright.They were shocked to see her,surrounded by a veil of glowing light.It seemed to come from the necklace she was wearing.The necklace piece seemed to be a dewdrop.

"Please..."She trembled."Please...don't hurt me..."

"I'm not going to hurt you."Lenalee assured,but was a little surprised that she could speak English."Tell me.How did you survive the attack?"

"I don't know.My necklace just glowed as if it was protecting me.Other than that,I'm not really sure."She said.

"Where did you get that necklace?"Lenalee asked.

"I found it in my mother's closet.I wanted to clear it up before grandpa moves in."She said,as a single tear rolled down her cheek.

"Where is she?"Lenalee smiled,showing that she meant no harm.

"S...she died in an accident with father just two days ago.She was supposed to visit a friend of theirs,but the carriage taking them both fell down a cliff."She sobbed.

Lenalee heard this and her smile fell.She apologised and asked who her guardian was.

"My brother is taking are of me now."She managed to smile."He just turned 27."

"Anything else you can tell me?"Lenalee asked with a hint of surprise.She was stronger than what she was when she was her age.

"Well..."She sounded a little uncertain.She paused and bit her lips before saying,"I'm leaving this town tomorrow."

"Why?"Lenalee raised an eyebrow.She still had her grandfather and her brother.So,why did she need to move?

"Because,"She took a breath before continuing."A lady came to me yesterday.She said she was from the Black Order-"

"Wait..."Allen stopped her."I'm sorry for interrupting but...did you say 'Black Order?'"

"I did.Why?Did you know that lady too?"She asked.

"Maybe.What does she look like?"Allen asked.

"She had blonde hair,and I can tell she's an american.She had a small monkey with her all the time."

Allen turned to Lenalee.Lenalee did the same.They said the same,familar name in unison."General Klaud!"

Allen turned back and explained that the 'lady' she met was actually a General in the Black Order."She is a General,that lady you met.The monkey she has around with her is her innocence."

"Innocence?"She cocked her head slightly to one side in curosity.

"It's a powerful matter."Lenalee explained."It will only become a weapon to destroy akumas if the person it sychronizes with whom it accepts,or rather,a compatible user of the innocence."

"Akumas?You mean the one I saw just now?"

"Yes.There are 3 levels an akuma can evolve to.The one you met just now is a level 2.Level 1 akumas are ball shaped.They have cannon-like guns on their bodies to shoot a blood bullet laced with akuma poison.Once it makes contact with humand flesh,a penacle will appear,marking the spot which the bullet makes contact with the human body.The virus will spread quickly..."

"Killing you in less than a minute."Lenalee finished.

"What about level 2 and 3 akumas?"She asked.

"Level 2s are more powerful than level 1s.They have new abilities,and are more difficult to destroy.The souls inside the akuma had also detorated.Level 3s are evolutions of level 2s,also the most powerful akumas according to Bookman history-"

"Who are Bookman?"She asked.

"They are people who record history unknown by public.In other words,what they record are secret."Lenalee explained."Anyway,the armor of level 3s akumas are very tough,and the most difficult to destroy.The souls can barely be seen,according to my comrade here,Allen."Lenalee said.

"You see the souls of akumas?"The girl said.

"Yes.My left eye was cursed to see their souls,you see."

"Oh.By the way,I forgot to introduce myself.My name is Kira.Nice to meet you."She smiled.

"I'm Lenalee.Nice to meet you too."Lenalee smiled back.

"I look forward to working together with you,Kira."Allen smiled.

"Me too."Kira said,standing up."You must be tired.Why don't you stay at my place for now?We'll set off tomorrow."

"Good idea."Allen yawned."Pardon me but...I'm hungry right now?"

"Oh.Don't worry.My brother should be fixing dinner now."Kira laughed when she heard Allen's stomach.

"Thanks."Allen grinned.

"Nii-san,I brought guests."Kira said.

"EEEEKKKKK!!!!!!!!!KIRA!!!!YOU KNOW I DON'T LIKE STRANGERS IN THE HOUSE!!!!"Kira's brother hugged her tightly while she tried pushing him away.

"They're just guests,Nii-san!They'll accompany me when I leave tomorrow!"

"NO!!!!NOT WITH A BOY!!!"He pointed a hand at Allen who just stared."HE...MIGHT DO..."

"Nii-san!!"She shouted as her necklace glowed and sent her brother flying to a wall."They are my future comrades!They're not some dirty freaks I found on the street!"

"Kira......."Her brother sobbed."Why are you leaving?"

"I had been looking for the reason of my existance,and I've found it.My destiny is to become an Excorsist and protect everyone and avenge for Father and Mother's death.That's what I live for.I'm sorry,Nii-san...I have no choice..."Kira sniffed.

"Kira..."Lenalee said as she walked up to her."I have something to tell you.Is there someplace we could talk in private?"

"Okay..."She wiped a tear off her eyes."We'll talk in my room..."

"You know..."Lenalee started."I have a brother like that too.I have used my innocence to shut him,just like you."

"Really?Where is he?"Kira looked up at Lenalee.

"He's back at the Order."She said,looking at her and turning away to look at the stars outside the doors of her room."When I was younger,about the age of ten,I was taken to the Order,alone without my brother."

"Oh."Was all Kira could say.She knew Lenalee loved her own brother,just like she loved her brother.It would be painful to lose the closest kin you have after the death of one's parents.And she knew how painful it is.

"I spent my life there trying to escape using my innocence.But sychronization at that time was very unstable and when I fell down,they recaptured me and I was confined to bed when I almost went insane.It was only three years later that my brother gave up everything and studied so hard to become the HQ's supervisor for me.It was also for me that he threw away his freedom and future.I feel so bad just seeing him in this state."Lenalee said,with tears brimming her eyes."You don't have to go to the Order if you don't want to,you know."

Allen,Lenalee and Toma finally reached the inn.Toma was called to assist Kanda and Lavi with an urgent mission and had to leave.Allen pushed the door open and let Lenalee in before himself.Lenalee wanted to speak to the lady behind the counter,but Allen insisted he should talk to her.

"Are you sure?"Lenalee said.

"Certainly."Allen smiled.

"すみませんが,しかしを行う持っている部屋スペアに?"Allen asked.

"すみません。私は唯一の持っている部屋〜へスペア。"The lady behind the counter shook her head.

"私は友人に確認できますか？"Allen asked.

"確信している。"She said.

"ありがとうございました。"Allen bowed before going to Lenalee.

"I didn't know you knew how to speak in Japanese."Lenalee said.

"My master travelled to many countries,and Japan is one of them,so I had to learn multiple languages to know how much my master owed to the locals,and gamble to pay off those debts."Allen said,looking as if he was about to be sick.

"I'm sorry if it brings back...um...never mind...what did she say?"Lenalee said.

"She said only one room was available."Allen said.

"That's okay.One room will do.As long as Timcanpy does not see anything."Lenalee smiled."I don't want you to be skinned alive,you know."

"I guess...it is the only inn,after all."Allen said,going back to the counter.

"1部屋なければならないだろう。"Allen said

"本当にありがとうございます。お部屋は、左から3番目のお客様です。"She smiled,handing Allen a key.

"本当にありがとうございます。"Allen bowed.

Allen and Lenalee walked up the stairs and opened the door to their room.

"Th-there's only one bed..."Allen stammered.

"Nii-san better not see this."Lenalee muttered under her breath.

"I'll sleep on the floor."Allen said.

"Don't be silly,Allen!There's enough room on the bed."Lenalee smiled.

"If you say so,Lenalee."Allen smiled back.

The morning ray split through the curtains,into Allen's eyes,causing them to flutter open.

"Another morning..."Allen thought.He suddenly remembered he was sleeping with Lenalee,and turned around.He saw Lenalee,who looked so calm,serene and cute as she snuggled into his chest.He ran his fingers through her hair.It felt so soft and silky.Lenalee woke up.

"Good morning,Allen."Lenalee smiled.

"Good morning,Lenalee."Allen smiled back.

This was the best morning of their lives,for both Allen and Lenalee.What's better is nobody else was there,and they have the time to themselves.

Something tells them they are going to get a surprise later...

Dawn of a New Day

Allen was doing his daily workout as usual,body suspended upright in the air,keeping his left arm behind his back balancing his right fist on a tilted chair.This was how he does his push-ups.This time,he surpassed his previous recored of 300 by 56,which meant he was stronger.The first light of dawn pierced into his eyes,making them sting a little.

"Dawn already?"Allen mumbled to himself while jumping off the chair and putting on his clothes.

He walked down the corridoors and met Lenalee on his way to the cafetirea.

"Morning Allen,you're up early today!"Lenalee said cheerfully.

"Morning,Lenalee.I was doing my usual workout a while ago.Did you use a new shampoo?"Allen took a whiff of Lenalee's hair.

"Yes.You noticed?By the way,did you break your previous record?"Lenalee said,walking closer to him.

"By 56.It isn't much but I'll keep trying."Allen scratched the back of his head.

"You know you don't have to be so humble,Allen!"Lenalee punched his arm lightly.

"Well,you know I can't help it."Allen grinned out of embarrasment.

"Yo!Allen!Lenalee!Right here!"Waved a red-haired teen,who was 3 years older than Allen.

"Morning,Lavi!"Allen and Lenalee settled themselves down beside Lavi,an 18-year-old Bookman junior,and Kanda,a blue-haired samurai,who was the same age as Lavi,was having his usual meal of soba and extra wasabi.Lavi was having his usual breakfast of peanut butter and jelly sandwich.Allen went over to Jeryy,the chef,and ordered his usually humongous-sized breakfast of noodles,eggs and ham,chicken stew,steamed fish,grilled beef burger,pancakes,10 bowls of rice and 20 mitarashi dangos(all in large servings).Lenalee had steamed dumplings and orange juice.

"Allen,Lenalee.You have a mission.Komui wants you to meet him in his office by 10 minutes."Reever put on his his usual groggy voice.He hadn't slept for days.It wasn't unusual because the science department always had mountains of paperwork to do.

"Okay.But are you sure you don't need to rest?"Allen asked.

"Nah,I'll be fine."Reever turned a walked away.Well,he wasn't really walking.He was swaying constantly and looked like he was about to faint.

"Be careful,Reever!"Lenalee called.

"There had been recent reports of a town in Edo.It seems to be protected from akumas,although most of the akumas in the world are concentrated in this particular area.I want you two to find out if this is caused by an innocence or an accomodator sychronising with the innocence.If it is,I want you two to get the innocence before any akuma does."Komui explained.

"When can we leave?"Allen asked.

"Immediately after you leave.Toma will accompany you,just in case anything happens."He turned to Allen,with a serious expression on his face."Also,I know that what I'm saying will be irresponsible of me,but I want you to protect Lenalee at all costs.I don't want her to be hurt."

"You can leave it to me,Komui."Allen nodded.

Allen and Lenalee bothe settled themselves on the seats while Toma stood guard outside.They discussed about the mission.

"It says here that we have to take a ship to reach Edo.But it would be quite a distance before reaching,about a couple of distance."Lenalee pointed out.

"Why must we go to a place full of akumas?I hardly caught a wink of sleep last night!"Allen complained.

"Well,it can't be helped,right?After all,it's our duty,and all the excorcists are away on missions..."Lenalee sighed.

"Yeah..."Allen yawned,"I guess I'll just take a quick nap..."

Lenalee flashed a smile to a blushing Allen,who settled himself on a comfortable position and was about to fall asleep when the train suddenly came to a halt.And Allen fell straight towards Lenalee.

"L...Lenalee...are you alright?"Allen managed to say.

"What about you?"Lenalee said who was carrying a suitcase Allen smashed into.

"I'm alright..."Allen said as he crashed onto the floor.

"I wonder why the train stopped..."Lenalee stood up and dragged Allen by the arm towards the door when it opened.

"Lenalee-sama,Walker-sama,the captain sent his apologies because the train had to stop as a carriage passed without noticing the train."Toma informed.

"Thanks,Toma."Lenalee smiled.

"What happened to Walker-sama?"Toma asked,pointing to Allen who was still lying on the floor.

"Oh,Allen?"Lenalee sweatdropped."He...kind of fainted.He should wake up anytime soon,hopefully before we get there..."

"I see.Then I shall take my leave,then."Toma bowed before going out.

"I'm sorry if I had been any trouble,Lenalee..."Allen scratched the back of his head with embarrasment.

"Don't worry about a thing,Allen.I'm just glad you're okay."Lenalee smiled.

"It's not that...you see..."Allen could not continued because two kids knocked into Allen,and Allen's lips crashed onto Lenalee's.They stayed like his for 10 seconds before breaking away and Allen kept apologising.But they were lucky there were not any signs of golems because if there was,Komui would have seen the whole incident and would surely skin Allen alive,and Lenalee don't want that to happen.

When they got there,it was already dark.Lenalee asked for directions and a kind lady pointed to east.

"You have head east then turn left.That's the only inn in town,by the way."The lady said.

"Thank you so much."Lenalee bowed.

"It's no problem."She bowed back and went off.

"Well,let's go,Allen."Lenalee grabbed Allen,who was always lost in his thoughts,by the hand and dragged him away.

The evening skies turned darker and darker,as I flew out of the window.Sinister golden eyes that glowed in the night.Clouds gather and blocked the clear skies.Lighting is seen,and a claash of thunder is heard.Not long after,it began pouring,as a lone person rushed and make his way home.I stood in front of him and he ran past me.With incredible speed,I stopped him again,my fangs revealed.He trembled with fear,the rain soaking through his clothes...srceams echoes across the deserted streets,but it was heard by no souls.A lifeless body was sprawled on the ground,dying it a fresh red.Not wasting a drop,I fed.I regained the energy I had longed for.This time,I turned into a wolf and scampered back.

Now back to the main topic of why we're here.

Have you heard of Excorcists?They are follwers of God,members of the Black Order,known widely as the New World Alliance.Excorcists are special beings who are granted a special power called 'innocence'.Compatible users or 'hosts' and their respective innocence must sychronise for the innocence to become an anti-akuma weapon.Only then will the host become an Excorcist.Their mission is to stop the Great War by desrtoying the existence of 'akuma',the clan of Noah and the 'maker',otherwise known as the Millienium Earl.

Akumas are made by the Millenium Earl,to be used as toys by the Earl and the clan of Noah.They are made by lost souls called back from the dead with the 'voice' of someone they are close to.These lost souls are planted into a mechenical skeleton.Once the soul enters the skeleton,it won't be able to escape.In such,they basically made of a machine,a soul and tragedy.An akuma which is not altered will not be able get over its urge to kill.And endless lives are lost purely because of its existence.The more it kills,the stronger it becomes,and the more difficult it is to destroy it and save the soul inside the akuma.

The clan of Noah,also known as the Ancient Family,are descendants of Noah,the man who built the ark.The Millenium Earl made a contract with the Devil and Noah's children are his brethen since.Their powers and abilities vary,but are equally deadly.

The Millenium Earl,along with the clan of Noah,is the Order's archenemy,yet little,if not nothing,is known about him besides the fact that he lived for seven thousand years,created the clan of Noah,creator of akuma,one of the many underlings of the Devil and according to theories,he can be defeated with the assistance of the Cube,which was washed away to various parts of the world after the Great Flood.Both the Earl and the Ancient Family are still a great threat to the New World Alliance.

The Excorcists' sole duty is to carry out the orders of the New World Alliance,retrieve every piece of innocence and complete the revival of the Cube which will ultimately lead to their victory over the Great War.However,they must first accqiure the 'Heart' which will complete the revival of the Cube.Without it,the Cube cannot be revived.Since the Excorcists have the weight of the world on their shoulders,they cannot afford to fall in love because their attention is needed to be focused on the war and stabilize their emotions.

However,there were two teenage Excorcists who fell in love with each other,but is kept at a distance due to the rule that Excorcists are not allowed to fall in love.So close,yet so far.That's how their situation was.

The two Excorsists were Allen Walker,15 and Lenalee Lee,16.

Allen Walker is a white-haired young gentleman,a split image of his womanizer master Cross(except for the womanizer bit),destined to defeat the Earl as the Destroyer of Time,a strong parasite-type anti-akuma weapon called 'Crowned Clown' and saviours of both akuma and humanity.He was abandoned by his parents since birth,probably because of his 'deformed' left arm,which is actually his innocence.He could not remember his birth parents,but knew clearly he hated them,hated them for abandoning him,depriving him of a normal childhood because of his arm and leaving him alone because they think having a deformed child was a disgrace,he thought.Since then,he started hating all humans,because he only saw this side of humanity.However,it changed when he met Mana Walker,his foster father,when he was 6.Mana gave him a name,the warmth of home and love he never recieved.Though they were mere travelling clowns and had a hard life earning bread,Allen never really minded.But when Mana died when Allen was 11,he grieved so much that when the Millenium Earl came to him,offering to revive Mana,meaning to turn him into an akuma,Allen agreed.Mana was furious and laid a curse on Allen's left eye,leaving a scar that runs down to his cheeks.His brown hair was dyed white instantly.Then,for the first time,his innocence was invoked,his left arm transforming into a huge,white claw,threatening to destroy the akuma the moment it felt an impact on Allen's body.In order to protect the body of its host,it started moving by itself.Allen wanted to pull it back,but it wouldn't listen.It kept going while Mana's soul begged Allen to destroy him,and grant him freedom.With three parting words,'I love you.'Allen's anti-akuma weapon destroyed the mechanical skeleton.He met Cross at the age of 12,and was his pupil until he turned 15.That was the time he arrived at the Order's HQ and met Lenalee and many other members of the Order's HQ.

Lenalee was forced to go the Black Order when she was found to be the host of her current innocence,the Dark Boots at the age of seven.She was then seperated from her only kin-her brother,Komui.Her parents died in an akuma attack when she was 2.She demanded many,many times,"where's my brother?!"But they never answered.She even tried to escape with her innocence invoked,but was recaptured because she could not sychronise with her innocence very well yet,so she was very unstable.She then went near insane and had to be confined to her bed.She hated innocence for seperating her from her brother,but not until 3 years later,her brother,who worked extremely hard to become the supervisor of the Order's HQ,where Lenalee was.Lenalee burst out in tears and hugged her brother tightly and wished she could hold on to him like this forever.Since then,she willingly became an Excorcist,accept the innocence and fought for her brother and her friends and comrades who arrived later.She met Kanda when she was 9,Lavi and Bookman 5 years later and Allen when she was 16.

Allen and Lenalee fell in love with each other since their first mission.The bond between them grew stronger and grew more attached to each other.Lenalee mentioned her world was made of a puzzle.Even if one piece fell,her whole would tumble and she would break down.The first piece which fell wasn't Komui,but ALLEN.When Allen's innocence was destroyed by a Noah,he disappeared and everyone thought he was dead,but she decided to believe that he would come back when she pushed her innocence over her maximum sychronization rate in the combat with a level 3 akuma,which he did.When he came back,she was so happy she cried and said it didn't matter that he was not able to save a fallen comrade,because she said she was sure that he saved his soul.
